Raise your hand if you’ve ever let a number on a scale decide how you felt about yourself for the day. 🙋🏻‍♀️

One moment you’re feeling good — strong, accomplished, hopeful. Then you step on that little piece of plastic, and the number blinks back at you like it holds the power to name you: Too big. Not enough. Try harder.
Sister, I’ve been there — more times than I’d like to admit.

🕊️ When Your Worth Feels Tied to a Number

There was a season in my life when my entire mood swung on what the scale said every morning. I’d punish myself with extra workouts if it crept up. I’d reward myself with praise if it dropped. And I’d constantly live with this low hum of shame in the background, convinced that my body was always betraying me.

Sound familiar?

But here’s what I want you to know today: You are not your weight. Your identity isn’t found in what you weigh — it’s rooted in Who made you.

📖 What God Says About Who You Are

Let’s trade those scale numbers for the truth that never changes:
“I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” — Psalm 139:14
Did you catch that? Fearfully and wonderfully made. Not “fearfully and wonderfully made when you weigh X pounds.” Not “wonderfully made when you can zip up those jeans from college.”
No. Just… wonderfully made. Period. Full stop.

Why This Matters for Your Wellness Journey

When you start seeing yourself as God sees you, the way you care for your body changes. You stop punishing it and start partnering with it. You stop chasing unsustainable fixes and start honoring what your body actually needs — in this season, with your genetics, hormones, and real life stressors.

Functional wellness — like DNA testing and personalized health plans — isn’t about perfecting your body. It’s about stewarding it well so you can live out your purpose with energy, clarity, and joy.

🌿 A Practical Way to Break Free

If the scale has a grip on your heart, here’s a simple invitation:
  • Swap your morning weigh-in for a morning truth check.
  • Open your Bible and remind yourself who you are: chosen, loved, capable, redeemed.
  • Journal one way your body showed up for you yesterday — not because it was perfect, but because it’s resilient and good.
This mindset shift is powerful. It’s how we trade frustration for faith. It’s how we build habits that last — not out of shame, but out of love.

❤️ You Are More Than a Number

Friend, you are so much more than your measurements, your macros, or your mirror. You are a daughter of the King, called for a purpose, and equipped to honor your body in a way that feels life-giving — not exhausting.

If you’re ready to break up with toxic fitness culture and step into a wellness journey that’s rooted in faith, freedom, and functional wisdom, I’m here to walk with you.

Before you go, grab your journal and write down three truths about who God says you are. Tape it to your mirror.
Let’s remind ourselves daily: we are so much more than a number.

XOXO
